In six weeks Computerbank New England will have a new headquarters when the first stage of the $150,000 upgrade of the Recycling Centre at the Uralla Landfill site is completed.
Member for Northern Tablelands Richard Torbay visited the Centre this week to check the progress of the project funded through $50,000 from the State Community Partnership Building Program (CPBP), matched by Uralla Council and with an additional Commonwealth infrastructure grant.
“The outstanding work of Computerbank New England in rebuilding old computers and recycling parts can continue under much improved conditions,” he said.
“Locating the headquarters at the Uralla Recycling Centre on the Landfill site will create efficiencies and opportunities to pelletise the unusable computer parts for further recycling.”
