NSW Strata and community title laws open for review

A wide-ranging review of the state's strata and community title laws is currently underway and Member for Northern Tablelands Richard Torbay is inviting community members to have a say.
An online community consultation forum will be operating until 29 February 2012 allowing views and opinions on the current laws as well as suggestions for the future to be posted.
Mr Torbay said the review affords regionally-based interest groups and individuals to have a say in the development of new legislation for the sector.
"The opportunity exists to take part in the review of the laws relating to strata and community title laws and I would urge people who have an interest in this sector to take part," Mr Torbay said. "The Minister for Fair Trading, the Hon Anthony Roberts, is seeking support for the online forum which presents an opportunity to influence the shape of any new legislation.
"The forum is based on four questions with comments and views posted for viewing, it is an interactive site and easily navigated.
"Submissions can also be made by post and I would encourage constituents to have their say."
