Funding of $24,472 for Gilgai and Inverell transport projects

Member for Northern Tablelands Richard Torbay today announced a $24,472 State funding boost for transport infrastructure projects in Gilgai and Inverell.
The funds from the Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme are to install an SMS Message Board at the Inverell Bus Interchange and to build a bus shelter at Gilgai.
Inverell Shire Council will oversee the projects.
“Country areas need better local public transport infrastructure,” Mr Torbay said.
“It is one of the key priorities in the Rural and Regional Taskforce recommendations and it is pleasing to see these funds allocated in our region.”
