Member for Northern Tablelands Richard Torbay said eligible households in the Northern Tablelands Electorate will have access to a free in-home power assessment later this year.
The NSW Government's Home Power Savings Program is an initiative to help households reduce their power bill by up to 20 per cent.
Mr Torbay said low-income householders including pensioners and Veterans' Card holders can join the program to access a full range of assistance.
"In the past 12 months I have spoken to many constituents who struggle to meet the increasing costs of power and other utilities," Mr Torbay said. "This program has been running successfully since last year and so far 710 Northern Tablelands constituents have taken advantage of the savings.
"Energy experts are scheduled to visit the electorate during March and April this year to carry out free home power assessments including installation a power savings kit and an action plan.
"I encourage households to join the program and book a home assessment.
"Households not eligible for the program can visit the savepower website for information about ways to save power and money."
